“And so together, they built a life they loved.” For avid home-renovators, this phrase couldn’t ring more true. On Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at Divine Mercy Polish Parish in Lombard, IL, the Monika and Lukasz finally became husband and wife! The wedding ceremony was a full Catholic mass, steeped in tradition with both families by their sides. The joy and love these two have for each other was completely apparent the moment Lukasz saw Monika for the first time, walking down the aisle.
After the ceremony, portraits of the wedding party took place outside of the Wrigley Building in Chicago. Who would’ve thought we’d get the most perfect, 75 degree day in the middle of July! Monika’s vision of having a classic, timeless wedding came to fruition with the bridesmaids wearing various gowns in shades of champagne, while the groomsmen completed the sharp look with black suits.
Monika and Lukasz’s reception that took place at The Mirage in Schiller Park, IL. From the elegant table florals by Bonnie Bee Flowers to one of the most stunning displays of meats and cheeses, and my personal Polish favorite: Cytrynowka, no detail was spared for this wedding vision. The newlyweds danced a choreographed first dance to “Lover” by Taylor Swift, and they quickly filled the dance floor with guests who danced the rest of the night away!
7-17-21 was full of love and pure joy, and it was a blast to be a part of this day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Guzek!
