Edgewood Valley Country Club Wedding

Edgewood Valley Country Club is one of my new absolute favorite venues for a wedding! And it was the perfect location for golf lovers Taylor and Ciara to officially tie the knot!

A golf course is sometimes where you yell, “FORE!” to warn players of a wayward shots. However for Ciara and Taylor, there were no wayward shots in their “fore-ever” love story! Igniting at the chance of fate, Ciara and Taylor met in a small town in Tennessee during Fall 2014. A few mutual friends held a gathering and before they knew it, they were exchanging golf stories and phone numbers. Seven years later, they finally get to say, “I do,” at a beautiful country club in Lagrange, IL. Edgewood Valley Country Club was the perfect wedding day backdrop for their love of golf, soft greens, and classic day.

Edgewood Valley is close to Ciara’s heart and childhood. She often played numerous rounds of golf there and practically grew up there. It was very special to them they got to spend their day with loved ones at a location that meant to so much. And it highlighted the fact Ciara and Taylor both enjoy the game of golf so much.

The Wedding

The bridal party got ready at the locker room facilities of Edgewood Valley Country Club. The first look between Ciara and Taylor took place in a location that was special to Ciara. Having grown up at this country club, she knew all the best spots along the golf course! Then, the ceremony was outside surrounded by all their family and friends. One of the most personal and sentimental touches of this wedding day was the officiant, Taylor’s grandfather who came in from Tennessee to officiate his grandson’s wedding. The beautiful florals by Heather and Vine enhanced the timeless elegance of this beautiful day. Ciara and Taylor also added some unique features such as stationary designed by Ciara, and custom napkins and a ceremony brochure featuring the bride and groom.

The Reception

The reception took place outside Edgewood Valley Country Club in a bright tent by Blue Peak Tents. Inside leafy greens on tables reinforced Ciara’s minimal, yet classic vision. The string lights above added a soft glow as the sun set for the evening. The guests quickly filled the dance floor and danced the night away! Finally, a grand sparkler exit surrounded by all their friends and family completed their perfect fall wedding day! It was definitely a fantastic PARTEE! Congratulations the new Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Smith!
