Brix on the Fox Wedding

Aptly named, Brix on the Fox is a stunning wedding venue located along the Fox River. Staci and Zach’s wedding on April 8, 2022 was an absolute dream. The day started out with hair and make up done by the talented team at Kiss This Makeup at Hotel Sonesta. Then, all of the girls headed to the venue to get dressed in the spacious bridal suite at Brix on the Fox. The large windows, high ceilings, and open spaces make this an ideal spot for beautiful natural light portraits and getting ready photos.

It was a touching moment to watch the two lovebirds read notes from one another before the wedding. It’s always a sweet idea to include this in your getting ready timeline on your most important day.

The first look was another heartfelt moment. Zach was so overcome by how beautiful Stacie was, he couldn’t hold back his joyful tears and pulled her in for a big embrace. One of the reasons I always recommend first looks to all of my couples is that not only do you get to share in this special moment with each other, but you get to have some time with just each other to soak in the importance of the day before the rest of the festivities begin.

Staci did not miss a beat when planning every single detail for this day. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue dresses, and pops of this color palette were found throughout the bouquets, floral arch, groom’s bow tie and groomsmen ties. Shortly after the first look, the bridal party took their portraits at the venue.

In order to maximize the variety of portraits, Staci and Zac agreed to go off-site for additional photos by the bridge, as well as Downtown Carpentersville.

Staci and Zac’s wedding was on the Industria side of the venue. You could feel the love fill the room during their heartfelt ceremony, followed by the cocktail hour and reception. Soda Band Chicago never fails getting everyone up and filling the dance floor the entire night.
