When Amanda told me she wanted to incorporate one of her dad’s classic cars in her engagement session, I know this was going to be an unforgettable session! The location Amanda and Luke chose to take engagement photos was Geneva National. It was a beautiful fall evening with the glowy, golden sun setting over Lake Como in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The ’57 Chevy Belair complemented the romantic vibes of the shoot perfectly.
Amanda and Luke met through a mutual friend in high school on an old website called ooVoo and would video chat every night prior to meeting in person. The two dated for one and a half years in high school and four years prior to the proposal with a 7 year gap in between. The couple says that even when they were broken up for 7 years, something inside of them didn’t want to let each other go.
Amanda kept the promise ring Luke gave her in high school and still has it to this day because there was something special about our relationship. They have always been each other’s biggest supporters.
Amanda and Luke have fun golfing and going out, but have even more fun staying in and playing Mario Kart together. They value our quality time together and enjoy exploring new places and restaurants. They can joke with each other and laugh when times are tough. They say “Loving and trusting each other is easy, and we realized that isn’t always the case in every relationship, which is what brought us back together.”
Luke proposed during a trip to Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. The couple took the first Sky Tram up to Whistler’s mountain and hiked a mile to the summit above the clouds. They took two photos on a tripod, and Luke wanted to take one more where he got down on one knee. They love how private and intimate it was and enjoyed hard coffees at the restaurant on top of the mountain after.
It was so much fun getting to know Amanda and Luke and capturing this season of being engaged for them. I know this fall 2024 wedding is going to be absolutely perfect!
