Art Institute of Chicago Engagement Shoot

It was so much fun to have Maggie and Sonny in front of my camera AGAIN (you can see the blog from the day of their proposal here) and this time at the Art Institute of Chicago! Photographing an engagement photo session at the Art Institute of Chicago has been a bucket lister for me for a while.

The Art Institute of Chicago offers an incredible variety of modern aesthetics for light and airy photography. From the Nichols Bridgeway, to the Grand Staircase and endless masterpieces of rooms and rooms of modern art make this location an oasis for creativity and unique shots.

On their first date, Maggie and Sonny went to the restaurant Two, in Chicago. They spent over 3 hours dining and talking about life, their goals, and views on everything. The two consider themselves huge foodies and were both very open-minded about trying new things. Maggie says Sonny had her heart once she realized that he chose the restaurant after researching to find the best banana bread pudding in all of Chicago!

Maggie says, “What makes our relationship so special is that we are not only partners, but each other’s best friends. We love spending all of our time together.” The couple values family more than anything and spends as much time with family as possible. They also value the friendships they’ve made throughout all walks of life, and make the effort to always stay close and in touch with them all.
