Best Places to Propose in Chicago

Throughout the magnificent city of Chicago, there is no shortage of epic locations for a proposal that is sure to be talked about for years to come!

Lincoln Park – Bridge Over South Pond

The nature boardwalk at the Lincoln Park zoo (South Pond) is where the Chicago skyline meets a scenic nature walk. Surrounded by plenty of greenery and gardens, it is a romantic place to propose. The unique views and honeycomb structure located in the heart of this park make it a magical location during any season in Chicago!

Olive Park

Located in Streeterville, Olive Park has it all when it comes to capturing the beauty of Chicago. With some of the best views of the city skyline, a lookout that piers out over the water, a pathway lined with trees, and Ohio Street Beach just a few feet away, Olive Park is hands down one of my favorite locations in the city.

Chicago Riverwalk

The Chicago Riverwalk is always bustling with the sounds of the big city. During the summer, you’ll see people enjoying a cocktail along the riverwalk at City Winery, or taking one of the famous architecture cruises. We can also capture some of the stunning bridges, or head over to the famous Wrigley Building landing for more portraits after the proposal.

Maggie Daley Park

Maggie Daley Park is the site of the famous ice skating ribbon during the winter. It’s located on 20 acres with tranquil green landscapes. It’s the perfect, open spot for photos away from the hustle of the city.

Alongside the loop community,

Maggie Daley Park is a 20-acre public park in the Loop community area of Chicago operated by the Chicago Park District. It is near the Lake Michigan shoreline in northeastern Grant Park where Daley Bicentennial Plaza previously stood

North Ave Beach

North Avenue Beach is probably the most famous of the 24 beaches in Chicago. The walking path that curves out into Lake Michigan will lead you to some of the most epic views of the Chicago skyline, serving as the most picturesque backdrop for your proposal.

North Pond at Lincoln Park

Do you love the sound of Lincoln Park, but are looking for a much quieter vibe? North Pond might be just the spot for you! A bit more tucked away with a lot less foot traffic than South Pond, you can overlook the Chicago skyline surrounded by the lush greenery and gardens.

Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool

The Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool is a one of a kind proposal spot. Tucked away, just off of Fullerton Parkway, this hidden gem is nestled between North Pond and South Pond of Lincoln Park. While there, you will forget you’re even in the city. There’s a structure right in the middle of the lily pool that would be the ideal place for getting down on one knee.
