Classic Chicago Wedding at Blackstone Hotel

The Blackstone Hotel, known for its historical charm and elegance, is an iconic location for a classic, Chicago wedding. Like a time capsule of Chicago, the iconic architecture and interiors are rooted in Chicago’s legendary past.

Courtney and her bridesmaids spent the day getting ready in one of the bridal suites at The Blackstone. The beauty team from Feeling Pretty Inc did a great job making all of the ladies feel glamorous. The couple then shared their first look and private vows in the English Room. The black and white checked floor and chandeliers always make this a gorgeous setting for romantic bridal portraits.

After the first look and private vows, the bridal party ventured outside for more portraits. Located just across the street from The Blackstone Hotel, Grant Park offers a lush, scenic space with greenery and gardens. We also took a trolley over to Museum Campus, where the bridal party took photos along the the grand Chicago skyline by the Planetarium.

The ceremony space in the Crystal Ballroom, with its grandeur and ornate detail, is a gorgeous and bright aesthetic that complimented Courtney’s vision of blue, white, and gold tones for this classic Chicago wedding. The space was flipped after the ceremony to the reception space while guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

Courtney and Scottie’s wedding day was nothing short of stunning. After enjoying a few heartfelt speeches followed by dinner, guests filled up the dance floor and danced the night away in celebration of the newlyweds. It was a photographer’s dream come true to play a small role in this special day. Congratulations to the couple! It was an honor to capture your day!
