I absolutely LOVE engagement sessions along the Naperville Riverwalk! Perfect for nature-lovers, this lovely combination of charming bridges and architectural elements is juxtaposed with green landscapes of trees and river waters. The brick paths, fountains, landscaping, and artwork allow for us to create a dynamic variety to your session; there is truly so much room for creativity here. Best of all, you are right on location to so many wonderful restaurants for a date night after your session.
Terrin and Tom’s engagement session was no exception. Engagement sessions are a great way for me to get to know my couples before their wedding day. These two had been dating for ten whole years before getting engaged! They are high school sweethearts who met on a field trip during their sophomore year. Since they’d been together for so long, Terrin was convinced that she would know when Tom was going to pop the question. Turns out, he had her totally fooled!
It was a normal work day for her, and her coworkers ended up going out for a drink on the night Tom was planning to propose. They even stayed longer than usual (poor Tom!). When she finally got home, Tom had rose petals going up the stairs and proposed to Terrin. She had not more than 20 minutes to freshen up to meet their family and closest friends to celebrate their engagement. Tom did the best job of surprising her and making everything so personal.
Terrin says that since the two practically grew up together, it’s amazing to look back and see how far they’ve come together. The couple has set the date and will be getting married July 2023, and I am so excited to be there to capture their love on their big day!
