The Chez Wedding Photographer

The beautiful wedding of Alexandra and Joseph was a long time coming for this couple. After many postponements and changes, they officially became husband and wife on June 25, 2021! The Chez is a dream wedding venue for a modern, romantic, and timeless wedding experience.

Getting Ready & Portraits

At Aloft Chicago Mag Mile, Alexandra and Joseph got ready for their big day surrounded by their closest friends and family. The couple opted to exchange letters to one another on the morning of the wedding, which allowed them both to soak in the importance of this meaningful day. The emotional first looks the bride exchanged with her dad and her bridesmaids exemplified how much love is shared between these two families.

The bridal party wore soft blue bridesmaids dresses and the bright white florals were perfectly accented with gold tones. In addition to taking bridal party and romantic portraits at the Wrigley Building along the Chicago Riverwalk, the couple added one more stop for their wedding portraits. The Chicago Art Institute enhanced the summery blue colors with the beautiful greenery of the South Garden’s landscape.

The Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony decor at The Chez was absolutely stunning! There were gold accented flower vases at the altar and the tall columns and long curtains added wonderful height to light and airy space. The space was then flipped to a reception room while guests enjoyed their cocktail hour. The personal vows exchanged at the ceremony and the speeches delivered by the best man and maid of honor were so heartfelt, everyone in the room was wiping a tear from their eye. The evening was topped off with one of the best dance floors I’ve seen as a photographer! With so much love and laughter, it was an absolute honor to capture this perfect day.
