Winter Wedding at Greenhouse Loft in Chicago

Greenhouse Loft was transformed into a truly magical, romantic wedding space for Leah and Mino’s Chicago winter wedding. The floor to ceiling windows throughout the space illuminated the space for an intimate, romantic ceremony, and later for candlelit reception.

The day began at Royal Sonesta Hotel in Downtown Chicago. This is a lovely choice for getting ready photos because the bridal suites are spacious, allowing for plenty of natural light throughout the rooms. The beauty team from ensured that all of the girls looked perfect for the big day.

Leah and Mino then shared their first look in the ballroom of Royal Sonesta. The floor to ceiling windows here captured the atmosphere of the city, while the couple exchanged their personal vows to one another. This heartfelt first look was one of the most special and emotional that I’ve had the pleasure to capture.

Then, the bridal party traveled to the Lyric Opera for outdoor portraits. I love this location for a winter wedding because we can still utilize the natural light of being outdoors, but remain covered throughout the duration of portraits.

Meanwhile, back at the venue, the team from Artful Events & Design was busy pulling out all the stops for the gorgeous designs of both the ceremony and reception spaces. The show-stopping presentation of florals elevated the space with elegance and classic decor. One of the unique, special touches was the custom ceremony arch that the father of the bride crafted for the couple (a MUST SEE for any Chicago Bears fans). Another custom build was the butcher table that the wedding cake was presented on for the cake cutting.

The joy on the couple’s faces was palpable throughout the day, from the getting ready moments to the first dance. It was the most idyllic day surrounded by the love of their family and friends, heartfelt moments, and raw emotions. Every photo captures their genuine love and happiness shared by their friends and family.
