There are so many things that I loved about the Flitcroft wedding, I don’t even know where to begin! Lake Geneva, WI just happens to be one of my favorite places for both weddings and photography, so it felt like hitting the jackpot when Tiffany told me all of the locations we would go to on the big day!
First, Tiffany and her bridesmaids got ready at Maxwell Mansion. This historic mansion has roots from the mid-19th century and detailed history throughout the 20th century. Elegance and romance is everywhere you look! Giant windows, decorative wood moldings, and a grand staircase make Tiffany’s getting ready space very classic. It certainly matched her gold & ballet pink theme perfectly. All of the natural light made this one of the most stunning locations for getting ready photos, and Tiffany’s first look with her dad!
Nearby at the Baker House, just a half mile away, Zach and his closest friends spent the morning getting ready. This location also has history from the 19th century and was carefully restored in 2010 to reflect the true style of a gilded age cottage. Zach’s classic black tuxedo and matching groomsmen were a perfect addition to the classic elegance of this wedding day.
The Ceremony & Reception
Next, Tiffany and Zach chose St. Francis De Sales Church in Lake Zurich for the ceremony location. Keeping with the historic theme, this church had stunning beauty and a religious elegance. White ribbons and beautiful fresh florals at the altar added a romantic touch to the ceremony. While some couples opt for a first look moment, instead Tiffany and Zach wanted the grand entrance at the church to be their first moment. As you can see, Zach is clearly in awe of his beautiful bride!
Then, the newlyweds & bridal party relocated to the Black Pointe Estate & Gardens for portraits. The ballet pink bridesmaid dresses popped perfectly against the soft greenery on the beautiful summer day. Also, one of my favorite parts of the day was when the entire bridal party took a boat ride to The Riviera! This unique experience was special to Tiffany and Zach. They met because of Zach’s family boat rental business seven years ago. This Lake Geneva wedding showcased the beauty of the lake and Tiffany and Zach’s love of boating.
Upon arrival at the dock in front of the Riviera Ballroom, the bridal party was greeted with cheering guests, welcoming them to the rest of the night. The venue is known for, “Timeless tradition, simple elegance, and lakeside charm.” Tiffany and Zach celebrated with their friends and family in just that way and enjoyed every little moment throughout the day together. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Flitcroft!
If Tiffany and Zach receive 20 comments on their wedding blog post, they’ll receive a complimentary 8×10 print of their choice from their wedding gallery!
