Rachel and Kyle’s story is a World Series kind of love! Kyle is a huge Cubs fan, and the two first connected back in August of 2016, when the regular season was winding down. Anyone who knows baseball knows what eventually happened on November 2, 2016. Kyle says that after all of the emotions that came along with that playoff season and Rachel still wanted to be with him, that’s when he KNEW that Rachel was the one for him!

For their engagement session, Rachel and Kyle chose the heart of downtown Chicago for their first location, and Lincoln Park Zoo for their second! Lincoln Park Zoo is not only where the two had their first date, but also where Kyle proposed after three years of dating. For the proposal, Kyle sought the help of Rachel’s best friend/Matron of Honor to plan an evening at Lincoln Park Zoo without Rachel knowing. Kyle popped the question under the honeycomb, surrounded by the holiday lights at the zoo!

Rachel says she knew Kyle was the one with how easy everything about their relationship was from the beginning, and how they meshed so well together right from the beginning. “He constantly makes me laugh, we have a blast together, he never gives up on me even when we have tough days, and he is someone I can count on each and every day.”

Rachel and Kyle both love how well they fit into each other’s families and are both so excited to spend the rest of their lives together.
