Everyone’s favorite time of year for photography: Fall. Amy and Keegan picked the most perfect, crisp fall day for their engagement photos! Lincoln Park Zoo does not disappoint this time of year with all of the magnificent colors of the changing leaves. We started the shoot at North Ave Beach to get some beautiful shots of the Chicago skyline behind them, and ended with golden hour at the nature boardwalk.
Their Story
Amy and Keegan met the good old fashioned way – At a bar! A local favorite: Zellas! Amy’s parents met at a bar, and so she would always joke with Amy if she had “met any guys out at bars lately.” Her mom insisted that she doesn’t meet any potential boyfriends at bars, but here they are now!
Keegan proposed at Amy’s apartment on a Thursday evening right as she was coming home from work. Amy almost always comes through the front door, so Keegan was standing by the front door with roses and candles. As luck would have it, however, she had a few packages delivered that day and decided to go through the back door. When she walked in, her attention was immediately drawn to a propped up camera (which didn’t even trigger her to think he was about to propose). But she figured it out as soon as she saw him!
Amy and Keegan have set their wedding date for August 21, 2021. I am so excited for their big day!!
