I’m often asked when is the best time of day to schedule portraits. The answer – Golden Hour! The soft, beautiful, glowy look can be achieved either one hour before sunset, or at sunrise.

Elisabeth and Jared opted for a sunrise session at Lincoln Park for their maternity session. The other perk of waking up so early for photography (in addition to the amazing light) is that you have the park practically to yourselves! This beautiful August morning was just perfect to capture Chicago’s summer scenery at the Lincoln Park Boardwalk.
