Rachel and Kyle immediately knew that Riverside Receptions was the right venue for their dream wedding the day they went to tour it! During the tour, they heard Kyle’s parent’s first dance song playing in the background, and in that moment, they knew they had found the right place & instantly fell in love with it. Their ceremony took place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and the rest of their portraits were captured at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, as well as downtown St. Charles. Their stunning wedding was simply elegant and timeless, enhanced with a hint of rustic charm.
First, both Rachel & Kyle began getting ready for their special day at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago St. Charles. The beautiful invitations by Truly Engaging by MagnetStreet featured a stunning sage green and gold accents. The bridal party was dressed in the color of the year – Sage green! The couple chose to exchange a letter and a gift to one another on the morning of their wedding before seeing each other for the first time as Rachel walks down the aisle.
It’s often said that rain on your wedding day is good luck for the bride and groom, and we definitely got a bit of it right after the ceremony! Luckily, the quickly cleared up and we had some blue skies for their portraits. The ivory and blush accents in the beautiful floral bouquets by Bouq Box Flowers were the perfect pop of color that complemented the bridal party portraits beautifully. A quick stop in downtown St. Charles allowed us to capture even more portraits of the newlyweds and features so much more variety in their wedding imagery.
Furthermore, the reception was the perfect ending to this dream wedding. All of the details and DIY projects finally came together to complete the vision, and it was so much fun watching all of the guests tearing up the dance floor throughout the night! The thoughtful speeches and first dances made the evening all the more heartfelt and special. It truly was a magical day! Congratulations to the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Zielinsky!
