Summer weddings are always a beautiful affair, but when you add the picturesque Carriage House golf course at Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc, WI, it becomes truly magical. Morgan and Zach did not miss a detail when planning this exquisite affair, and it was a wedding to remember!
The day began with the couple getting ready at the Delafield Hotel. The bridal beauty teams from Glam Hair by Joanna, Benia Josephine Hair Design, and Makeup by Natty did an incredible job of making the bride, bridesmaids, and all the ladies that helped Morgan get ready for the big day look beautiful. The bride and groom exchanged letters to one another, as well as gifts. The bride also shared a first look with her bridesmaids, and later with her father before the classic car from Gallant Knight LLC escorted the two of them to the ceremony location.
The ceremony was as romantic as it was traditional. Family and friends gathered at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community in Hales Corners, WI. The bride and groom’s love for each other radiated through every moment. One of the most heartfelt touches of this day was how the priest incorporated so many details from the couples’ alma mater, which is where they met and where Zach proposed. The personal stories made every moment of the ceremony heartfelt and sentimental.
Meanwhile at the venue, Liz from Dream Weddings WI was hard at work making sure every detail was being executed perfectly. From the floral centerpieces by Remingtons Flowers, the natural light flowing in through the floor to ceiling windows in the bright, open and airy space, to the masterpiece of a wedding cake by Julie Michelle Cakes, the ambiance of the reception was flawless.
The golf course provided a stunning backdrop for bridal portraits on this perfect summer day. The lush greenery and meticulously manicured fairways complemented the elegance of the occasion, as well as Morgan’s soft blue color palette. Another charming element of this venue is the ability to go off-site for a few minutes to take photos along the lake and various other paths during sunset. As the golden sun set over the golf course, it created a warm and dreamy atmosphere that added to the enchantment of the celebration. It was a particularly gorgeous golden hour, and completely worth sneaking out of the reception for a few bonus portraits!
Laughter and joy filled the air as family and friends gathered at the venue for cocktail hour to celebrate this beautiful couple. The happiness that surrounded them was infectious, creating an atmosphere of pure bliss. One of my personal favorite touches of the day was the Gelato cart by The Knotted Cone, Gelato Co. Italy is special for the couple because Zach went to visit Morgan while she was studying abroad, and it was the first trip for the two as a couple. All of the guests had so much fun with this element of the day. It was the perfect reception refreshment for a hot summer day!
After a handful of beautiful speeches by the bride’s father, sister, and best friend of the groom, it was time for the dance floor to open. The couple performed a show-stopping choreographed first dance to “Beautiful Crazy Acoustic Version” by Luke Combs. Friends and family danced the night away to the high energy performances by Blue Water Kinds Band.
This elegant, classic summer wedding was a true testament to the power of love and the joy that surrounds such a special occasion. It embodied everything that makes weddings so magical – romance, timelessness, and joy. Congrats to the newlyweds!!
